Welcome back to Wait, Roll That Again!

On this episode, things run a little bit differently. I hear more from Michael Sands (Monster of The Week) about designing characters, and then I go and actually do it!Bringing in my partner Zoe, who we last heard from in Episode One, we make the first ever character for the game. Together, we work out the issues with the character creation system, and figure out what’s working and what’s not.

Extras:

A Yellow post-it-note that contains the details of the first character made for the ttrpg.

Here’s a photo of the final post-it-note/character sheet. Zoe seemed pretty excited with her character, and even able to connect to her on a narrative level without all the finalised mechanics, which I think means we're heading in the right direction!

On this episode, we discussed the wonderful Koriko. Like Zoe, I’m thoroughly enjoying my play-though of the game, I just need to find more time to play it! Here’s a photo of the cover I scrapbooked in my journal to start my Witch’s Journey:

A scrapbook page that shows a drawing of a young witch and other interesting paper surrounding him. In the background, the digital version of Koriko sits open on an iPad.

Next Time:

Next time on Wait, Roll That Again! we’re going into another playtest! We’ll be trying out the relationship system I’ve been tinkering with, so look out for that in two week’s time! We’ll also have a brand new guest in to talk more about the visual elements of the game…In the mean time, we’ll see you back here next week for the design update. No spoilers here!
